Summary Works closely with contract Breeder producers to produce the maximum number of hatching eggs at the lowest possible cost to ship to Bachoco USA Farms Hatcheries and to monitor and maintain quality bird health.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Maintains an open and working relationship with contract producers.
- Weighs birds according to schedule.
- Administers vaccine on schedule.
- Draws blood according to state and federal programs.
- Monitors farm conditions.
- Monitors bird health.
- Orders feed on a weekly basis.
- Reports farm issues to Division Manager as needed.
- Makes feed decisions to increase or decrease based on production and weight standards.
- Works closely with hatcheries on the hatchability for each house.
- Other duties may be assigned according to program changes, weather conditions, or service area changes.
- Qualifies for the company driver program.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises the Breeder Contract Producers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must have a valid driver's license and must qualify for the company driving program.
